October 22 The Magic
Kitchen 1-5 p.m.
Once
upon a time, Mabel used to like cooking, but lately it was a chore. Her
recipes were jammed in a drawer, sticky and stained, a jumble of old
newspaper clippings and computer printouts. And forget about finding the
right utensil or ingredient when she needed it. The kitchen was a mess!
Mabel wanted to fix healthier meals for her family, but didn’t
know where to start.
In frustration, she threw up her hands and ordered carryout. .
.
Does this describe you? Don’t despair! Just gather up all your recipes
and bring them to this fun and informative workshop.
Judy and Alana will present information and techniques that have
helped hundreds of their clients effectively implement a healthier way
of cooking and eating. You’ll leave with healthy eating resources and
strategies, tips on making your kitchen a magical place to cook, and a
recipe binder that will be at your fingertips when you need it.

Dec. 11th Looking Beyond
Anti-Depressants
Psychiatric drugs have become the
major tool for treating depression, yet at least half of people with
depression or bi-polar disorder experience little to no relief. Many
simply can't stand the side-effects of the medication. There are
multiple ways to address underlying causes of depression and find some
relief and this class will discuss those.
